Where Did December Go????

OMG!!!  Christmas is on Friday!

Well now tht I got that off my chest, here is what has been happening.  Brady has learned to dance and most of the time he doesn't even need music...not sure if we should be worried about that or not...And he is not only a good speed crawler but is getting really good at pulling up on whatever he can find...furntiure, toys, dogs...it looks like he will be off to the races on 2 feet in the new year.

This past weekend Laurie, William and the girls came down for Christmas Vacation.  All the Grandkids had fun playing at Granny's house.  We can only image how much fun Christmas Morning will be.

Brady's First Thanksgiving!

Well, it was a long day, but everyone survived!

After getting everyone packed and ready to go we headed West for a day of family and turkey. Brady was all set in his Oh-Too-Cute Thanksgiving Sweater Outfit.  His Dad could not believe I would make him ware such a thing...but it was cute...Brady did not seem to mind!  In fact he stayed in all day, No Spit-up!!

We had lunch with Great-Grandma Luhn and all the 2nd cousins were there to play. Why does seem harder to get the older kids to sit still for photos?

Brady enjoyed a nice Turkey and Pumpkin lunch!

After lunch we headed across town to have dinner with Great Granny & Po-Po Svinky at the new ranch house that is ALMOST FINISHED!!!  Charlotte & Eddie just had to try out the new kitchen equipment and we learned one thing everything cooks faster in the new ovens!  Oh well...maybe by Christmas we'll have it all under control.  At least we did not set off the smoke alarms.

Who needs Tonka Toys????

When you have the real thing!

Over the weekend Brady got to try out some of Uncle Matt's Equipment. He just loves to sit in the tractors and play with all the fun knobs and levers.
Lookout Construction World here comes Brady!

Yes, he is manning the controls, the only time Daddy took over was when Brady was turning towards the tree and other equipment.

November has been busy

Wow, I cannot believe that we are already half way through November...We have been very busy, so here is a quick overview.

Both of Brady's Grandmothers celebrated Birthdays - Granny on the 3rd and Grandma on the 8th!

Grandma Charlotte rung in her 60th with a Big Surprise Celebration at the new Ranch House - Everyone had a Great Time!

At 7 Months and 6 Days Brady got his First Haircut - Granny broke out the scissors and went to work, Daddy was very happy that his son's hair was finally out of his eyes.

A Hunting We Will Go!

Last night Brady had great fun handing out candy to all the neighborhood Trick-Or-Treaters! He was even able to convince Roxy to join in the fun and complete his costume.

His Friend Slate "Scooby-Dooo" stopped by before heading out to Trick-or-Treat!

Today Brady and Adelyn went to have their Halloween pictures taken and this time they actually seemed to enjoy themselves and we got some smiles - here are a few pics of Brady! Still eating hay!

Loves to Bounce

Brady really enjoys his bouncy toy that cousin Amy let him borrow. This can entertain him for awhile...and he gets a good workout, too!

Brady's First Parade

Yesterday Brady watched his first Parade, everything went okay until 2 Fire Trucks came by blowing the horns and sirens a blaring! But he did get to spend time with Great Grandma Luhn, Mary, Amy & Adelyn.

Pumpkin Patch

The other day Brady and his friend Adelyn went the Pumpkin Patch at the Austin Co. Fair and as you will there was not one smile between them...oh well, but the pictures turned out cute anyways!
Brady was more interested in putting everything in his mouth and Adelyn just wasn't sure about the whole thing. Maybe next year will be better.
Since Adelyn lives in the County she was able to enter the Picture Contest and a Won 3rd Place Ribbon, Congrats Adelyn!

Weekend Happenings

Not too many things have changed in Brady's World, he has started to push himself up on all fours, however he has not figured out what to do once there (thankfully). He is rolling all over the place and starting scoot a little. For about a week now his top right tooth is about to come in, hopefully this week it will be able to cut through and he will not be as fussy...well, until the next tooth decides to come to the surface.

On Saturday we all went to the Austin County Fair Kick-off Dance and Shrimp Boil, Brady had fun seeing everyone and listening to the music.

Helping Daddy

Yesterday Evening after Brady woke up from his late nap, he decided it was time he pitched in and did a little work around the house, he is after all 5-1/2 months old...so what better way to start then with mowing the back yard and Daddy really appreciated the help. Brady did pretty good until they ran over some sticks and the lawn mower made loud cracking/popping noises that scared him, but once he got calmed down everything was great again.

Little Updates

Last week Brady was invited to his friend Adelyn's house for a play date while their Dads hunted, as you will see Brady was way more interested in her then she was in him.

Wow - On the 2nd Brady turned 5 Months old and he is eating up a storm, so far we have tried and loved Sweet Potatoes, Peas, Peaches, Bananas, Apples and Pears - He tried Avacado and he ate it but did not like eating it. Which is fine with me, I'm not a big fan either...

Over the weekend his cousins were at the farm and they all enjoyed playing together.

Chompers...

Last Friday when I was feeding Brady his Pears (which he loves!) I noticed that he was biting down on the spoon which was unusual. When he was finished and I washed him down (as he is a VERY messy eater!) I took a look around and saw a little tooth poking through the bottom gum and another one not too far behind. On Saturday the 2nd tooth came through. He is a little bothered by the new teeth but is handling it very well, we only had a couple crying/screaming fits.

Starting New Things

Being a Stay at Home Mommy has its advantages...I am putting some of my creative juices to work and hoping to bring in a little extra income. I have opened a store on Etsy.com a place to showcase handmade goodies, if you have never been to the site check it out their are some very creative people out there selling their goods. On the right-hand side of my blog there is a showcase gallery of some of the items I have for sale online, take a look and let me know what you think...and I think you will like name of the store...BabyChunkMonk...Keep checking back as I will be adding new items when I can, right now I just have burp cloths online, but will soon be adding hair bows.

Cereal, Sweet Potatoes & Bananas...Oh My!

After a couple weeks of trying cereal and finally getting the hang of it last week, we decided to add another first food...Sweet Potatoes! And as you can see in the pictures he loved them! On Sunday afternoon, while at Granny's house, Mom exploded the Sweet Potatoes in the microwave, but fortunately Aunt Laurie had left some of Amy's mashed Bananas in the freeze so we decided to try those, he inhaled them as fast as could get them to his mouth. He is definitely a healthy eater!
