A Day at the Zoo

On Friday Brady and his friend Adelyn spent the morning at the Houston Zoo - They had a great time and we got to see a lot of the animals, including the baby elephants, too cute!!!!  The big Orangutan was sitting right by the glass and the lion was napping in the sun.  Both kids loved the petting zoo and I think Brady needs to get some goats - they were his favorite.  Here a few pics from our trip.

Brady's 1st Pet - Mr. Frog!

Over the weekend while at the Ranch - Brady found 2 tree frogs, on Saturday and the other Sunday. We could not leave without the frog on Sunday, so we now have new addition to the family - Mr. Frog! He is a wonderful, little green tree frog and thanks to helpful lady at Petsmart he now has new home in Brady's room.

Poor Mr. frog in his 'transport box' - AKA empty ketchup bottle - Sorry Charlotte I had to cut the bottom off to get the frog out, so I will not be returning the bottle.

July Happenings

Last week we went for Brady's 15 month check-up and all went well - he is growing up fast. He weighed in at 25lbs and is now 32" tall. Overall is his in the 50-75%tile for weight and the 90%tile for height and head size.

Over the weekend after the guys finished working at the ranch, we decided to take the jet ski's out for a spin around the lake - Brady got to go on his first jet ski ride...He loved it! Hopefully we can go again this weekend. My camera battery died before I could get a good picture of him, so these will have to do for now.

Well another month has pasted and I realized that I had not posted any new pics of Brady, enjoy the slide show!

A couple weeks ago while Aunt Laurie, Mary and Amy spent the week on the Farm, all this kids had lots of fun at the creek behind Great-Grandma Luhn's house and at the Natural Science Museum.

Father's Day was very laid back, we spent the weekend at the ranch and Michael finally got open his Father's Day presents after bath time - Hannah was so excited, she had to help open the gifts!

14 Months and Brady goes to school!

Today Brady is 14 months old and yesterday was his first day of school!  I've started back to work and will be going to the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays so we enrolled Brady at The Goddard School part time.  Yesterday morning was a little bumpy, but overall it looked like he a good day and most importantly the teachers said that we could bring him back on Thursday! :)

Here are some current pics – not too much new. Brady has started taking more independent steps, but the “Oh Crap!” light still comes one when he figures out that he is not holding on to anything. I have not yet been able to get him walking on video maybe next week.

Brady Turned 1!

On Friday our little Brady Boy turned ONE and we started the day with a trip to see the doctor...I know, I know shots on your first birthday maybe not the greatest way to start out...but the doctor said that she wishes all her patients could be as good as Brady!  He is 31.25" long (90th%tile), 23lbs 3oz (50th%tile) and his head is 48 cm (90th%tile).  Here are fews pics of him opening some of his presents, he is a lot better then he was at Christmas, I think he'll be ready for the big birthday bash this Saturday!

A Visit with the Easter Bunny

Yesterday evening we all hopped down the Bunny Trail to visit the Easter Bunny before he makes the rounds this weekend.

A Busy Month!

I don't know why everything has to pile up at once...on the 4th Michael and I celebrated our 10 YEAR Anniversary...on the the 9th Michael celebrated the 5th anniversary of his 29th Birthday (don't ask me why he is still holding on to 29, I'm just glad we have moved on from 27!)...and for good measure we threw in a couple of Rodeo Concerts and a wedding and I decided to go to a couple craft shows!

Now we are in the final countdown for Brady's 1st Birthday on Friday. He is growing up so fast and we cannot believe that is has already been a year. He is not yet walking on his own but as long as he has tractor or chair near by he can walk almost anywhere he "needs" to get. The other day he did pretty good at getting himself onto the ottoman but he has not been able figure it out again. Here are few pictures to catch everyone up!

Brady's Big Boy Haircut

Last weekend Granny and I took Brady to the Cool Cuts for Kids to get a Big Boy Haircut - he did a great job of trying to sit still. It was great they had these great "chairs" for the little ones to sit in, however he did not understand why they did not move like his tractors at home.

Having Fun

Over the weekend I helped host a Baby Shower for Crystal (Mike's Cousin), the was a great success with the Honoree leaving with 2 truck-loads of goodies...Hopefully they have room for everything once they get it all back to McKinney!

Brady finally got to meet his 3rd Cousin Colton, they were born on the same day, in the same operating room just about an hour and half apart...they rolled me out and they rolled April in.

They played well together until they started to share snacks and Colton wanted his puff back, so he dug it out of Brady's mouth, Brady didn't seem to mind he just got another puff from the bucket.

Off to the Races....Sort of?

This week Brady has been walking with the help of his tractors, yesterday I was able to get a quick video. He does pretty good, still a little wobbly when he is not walking with the tractor he walks along the sofa and the ottoman, we are just waiting for him to let go and RUN.

Last light before bed, Brady and his Daddy watched a little TV, but Brady was more interested in eating the remotes.

10 Months Old and not slowing down

Well Brady is always on the move and trying to go vertical (thanks Amy for your inspiration). With (Daddy's) assistance he can climb onto the ottoman, if no one is there to help him out he will scream thinking that will get him what he wants, it just gives us headaches (HaHa)

He has learned to wave - although he doesn't always do it when you want him too!

We cannot believe that our Little Chunk is almost a year old, I guess I will have to start planning the 1st Birthday Blow-out...We think he is going to want a Crawfish Boil...Good thing he was born during the season! The other night we went to Swampy's and of course Michael had to get the boiled crawfish and shared with Brady since they were not too spicy and he seemed to enjoy them...at least the ones he was able to get in his mouth!
